Superior game with high difficulty! A great adventure

After about 3 years of waiting is finally Donkey Kong appeared on the Wii U. The anticipation for the title was (at least for me) very large and anticipate I can ever say the wait was worth it!

Similar to its predecessor Country Returns Your task is to complete the very varied designed level with the gorilla Donkey Kong. In the six different worlds do you imagine several opponents and challenges. Whether puffers, archery Penguins (haha), jellyfish, fire hedgehog or different obstacles that developers have here really a lot of introduced innovative ideas.
The individual islands are built on various subjects so you will start in the jungle, passes by a mountain landscape, you getting through a really beautiful savannah landscape and even dive underwater.

If your tasks you are three supporters are available with Diddy, Dixie and Cranky Kong. Of course, each monkey has its own special abilities. So you can help Diddy to overcome with its jets greater depths. Dixie swirls around to bring you in higher sections with her long blond hair. Cranky Kong, however, fueled his opponents one with a walking stick. Not always you can decide for yourself what companions you have it.

But even with a companion, the game anything but simple. Some level sections I had over and over again until they finally managed to play was. However, I never felt that certain points are unschaffbar or too heavy. Yes, it takes some concentration and skill but everything else would be boring :-)

The six different game worlds look just great and are designed with great attention to detail. The characters and enemies are great animated and you can look forward to one or the other very interesting boss battle. However, I also noticed that the boss fights take sometimes very long. Extremely good to me also the in-game sound has fallen. This is just consistent and matches the overall atmosphere of the game. Even at the controller, there is absolutely nothing to complain about, the control is very precise and direct. But this also means that mistakes at the gamepad will not forgive in Game :-)
One negative point yet to Gamepad unfortunately the developers have failed to integrate the Wii U Pad reasonable. So although you have the opportunity to gamble the entire game on the screen of the Wii U gamepad, however, it was then already at special functions. Too bad, here one could get out to get something more.

The pure play is played out in about 11 hours, but there are some additional content. In each level, bananas and banana coins waiting to be collected thereon.
There is also, as always, the 4 KONG letters and the partly very well hidden puzzle pieces. My tip: Even if you're not collecting fans maybe, tried the letters and / or collect the puzzle pieces unlockable bonus content worth it really! :-)
Nevertheless, should occur boredom you grab just a buddy and is co-operatively together on the journey.

The development team of Retro Studios is really a pearl of Jump n Run Genre succeeded. I was Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze pulled to the end in his spell and I could see the Controller rarely put aside. The wonderfully designed varied level, the playful and great polyphonic soundtrack and the enormous replay value make the game despite high difficulty uniquely good. Serious negative points are not noticed.
An absolute must-have for every Wii U owners!
