I bought this hard drive to it on a PVR receiver (Opticum HD X402p) to be used for Timeshift and recording. The shipment was, as usual, Amazon, again very quickly and on the package, there was also nothing to complain about. Then I got the hard drive out the same pack and was surprised how small the first time actually. Now I had to only FAT32 format that my receiver recognizes. When I then connected the hard drive using the included USB cable Y on my PC (Windows 7 64bit) came the "düdü" sound for newly detected hardware, this is it but unfortunately remained. The drive is not displayed, the light shone but the hard drive and it also vibrated slightly. Then I thought, never mind, maybe Windows 7 has a problem and have it on my other two PCs (Windows Vista 64bit and Windows XP) infected. There came the sound, but the hard drive was not reappear. I then ransacked some forums, but am not become smarter. I was already on the verge of them pack up and send it back, as I had an idea (I do not know how I got it, Random). I have the hard drive, this time not with the mitgeliferten cable but with the transfer cable (miniUSB - USB) connected my digital camera on Win7 PC. Lo and behold, the hard disk is recognized, I was relieved. I can only be explained by that the original cable is not enough to provide sufficient power has come to the plate because she has easy vibrieret. When she is finally gone, I have formatted the same FAT32 (NTFS format is original) and connected to the receiver with the DigiCam cable. She was also recognized immediately and I have something rumprobiert with Timeshift and Aufnahem. Everything works perfectly, it reacts immediately, the films takes on super quality and play them without jerking or artifacts cleanly. Even when the receiver is in standby and a timer recording starts wakes up the hard disk and a flash is immediately ready for shooting.
So I am very pleased with the hard disk, if it stays in the long run so I'll remember in the long-term use.
However, I only give 3 stars because the supplied cable was faulty and me some cost to nerves, if I had no other cables to try at home, would be the hard drive now probably again on the way back.
