Supports not the dual band

I've bought a router (Fritz 7490) with 50k line. This of course I want to take advantage as well, so I got myself for little money the WLAN stick of CSL-Computer (up to 300 mnit / s). My PC is less than 5 feet away from the router, but there is a considerable way through a wall in front, because the computer is in a corner of the room.

I came up with download speeds of about 14 Mbit / s and upload speeds of about 4 Mbit / s. This is not a little zar to work and perfectly adequate, but a bit disappointing when you have been looking forward just a very fast line. After brief research I discovered the problem:

This stick does not support the 5 GHz band. This performance is considerably slowed down, because the router emits in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz in.

I can recommend the WLAN stick by Fritz much.
For 25 I ordered a 300 Mbit / s drive from Fritz, as this also supports dual band. Now I get download speeds of about 46 Mbit / s and upload speeds of about 10 Mbit / s.

Conclusion:

For normal Internet use safe enough, but when it comes to more data volume in a short time (HD movies on Netflix / ....), I recommend investing a few euros more. For the little money the stick is OK, but one should not assume that you are at up to 300 Mbit / s on the way on the net.
