Surprisingly, it is the quality of this decorative sword similar to another one of my swords, for which I have paid 2 200 years ago EUR more. The Katana is for what it is - a cheap decorative sword - very well made and does what it is supposed, that look good and not fall apart when you actually because it takes time in the hand. All fixed and meticulously crafted. The in the price range usual, missing metal facing on the vagina is not a negative point, there is this but partly also on original swords not. All other components Katana (so many are not) are present and well finished. All course series parts, otherwise this price would not be possible. The steel is of course not folded - what even earlier was indeed necessary, as there were no high-performance steels. The Hamon (temper line) is clearly visible but of course just sanded and not - caused by the curing process - as originals. But this, as well as the existing blood groove absent in many other more expensive decorative swords. The sword is sharp as a central kitchen knife - ie cuts oranges but certainly not a falling silk scarf)
The special thing about this sword is the coloring. A white Tsuka-Ito (Grip) is quite rare and looks in my opinion, from class. Who wants to take the sword but more often in the hand or use even for training purposes, should bear in mind that a white organic wrapping naturally dirty quickly. Another unusual - if not used to - is the black lacquered Saya (Scabbard) with just subtle to be named dark red Airbrush dabs. Looks a little pop out, in my opinion, but still beautiful. On a white cabinet / table or whatever, if the sword come good effect.
Conclusion:
the test is more than successful. The decorative katana is to beat for the price barely.
