Well, I spent the first few minutes in the game so I only times in a spaceship look ... Okay. The atmosphere was already here very closely. But at the latest after the first hour, the game takes it right to ride (do not worry, no spoilers!). Ok, a small spoiler: you can see an alien. Often. Very often. And you die. Also very often. I would like to highlight the sound design. It provides at any time a very depressing feeling. The atmosphere is so incredibly dense and interesting game mechanics and secret paths, and hiding places that atmosphere is further compacted. I've played quite a few games in my life. Especially those that are to do "fear". Scare Jumps are since today on the agenda, work for me, however, only conditionally. Toll therefore, that I much more fear in Alien: Isolation due to the soundscape and visual atmosphere was as before the Alien itself but also to escape from the alien (and others) is super exciting.. One constantly feels inferior if one is not at hlflos also at least against humanoid opponent. The Alien and androids but let a look not only old, but ancient. :-) The storage system is old-school and that's why so damn good. While it is stored with each new "level", within these areas, there is no automatic checkpoints, but special "Emergency calls", where you can save. This can sometimes be frustig, but sense of the game.
To sum up: Thank AMD for the voucher. Otherwise I would have missed a game that an atmosphere has commanded me, as long as no more. Of course, I could stop to nominate minor detail error - but I do not, because for me overall a "5-star" title has to look exactly; mainly because he still captivates me and totally under its spell. TIP: Playing with headphones in the dark.
Have Fun!
