I just finished this book and I have one word "taking". Very well written, the portrait of the teenager who asks and who seeks me diving into my own past with pleasure. I wanted to shake Rosa Gilles and parents to open their eyes and go out of their reality slap sister Helene - nasty and underhand, to flee the time to an afternoon with Italian bel Beach and cry for the little Leah, so fragile and innocent. The author describes with accuracy and precision buried and unacknowledged feelings, hopes disappointed, inaccessible dreams, without the reader can defend himself, leads him to become an accomplice in this tragedy. I had never read Marie Neuser so I will discover without delay his previous novel.
