I can not hesitate to recommend the Panasonic DMR EX72.
What is personally bothers me a little bit that the EX72 is always on power in the selection menu and you only "exit" or "Program on / off" button has this menu rid and to see the TV picture.
/ EDIT: Thanks for the comment of Frank: The menu is Just off :-)
(DVB-S, SAT receiver is very good, unfortunately no radio programs are offered, as is the case with a "pure" SAT receiver.)
/ EDIT: Again, the supplement because of the comment: The radio transmitter hidden in favorites :-) If everything super!
The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is a real highlight! It makes the timed recording programmed with a single click possible is super clear and well structured. However, the TV program will be completely switched off, when you call the EPG - it would be good if at least the TV sound would continue to run in the background - you could use the commercial breaks then linger a bit quieter in the EPG because you would hear yes, if the film continues.
The device is absolutely silent - it is in our TV cabinet under the TV and you can not perceive the fan or hard drive.
DVD playback and recording, and the possibility of delayed vision (simultaneous recording) are excellent.
Too bad I found it that it is not possible to copy movies (eg in AVI format) from SD card to the internal hard drive. One can only copy pictures from the SD card into the device.
The boot process is in the beginning a little getting used to - it takes but a little long. Enough time to still grab a coffee and soon again to the toilet :-)
By purchasing the EX72 we could completely replace 4 units (the old SAT receiver, VHS VCR, CD player, DVD player).
All in all we are very pleased with the Panasonic. It has even exceeded our expectations, which ease of use, quality and equipment concerned.
We would not hesitate to buy the device again.
(Now lets look at even for a Panasonic TV to come into the enjoyment of VIERA and to take advantage of that to the Panasonic devices all can control with a single remote - a decades Grundig customer changes now completely to Panasonic: -))
