Technically flawless HDMI 4-port switch with useful PictureInPicture function.

I want you / x 2K describe you here my experience with the Etekcity 4K 4-Port HDMI Switch 941P.
(An HDMI switch requires, for example, if there are not enough free input HDMI ports available on your TV, projector or AV receiver. Then, such a device combining the inputs and on a common HMDI output to the output device forward)

It comes with the switch, a compact power adapter, a small credit-card remote control and Kurzanleitungenen are in German and English.

Is located at the front of the unit left a red LED for power status, a turn-button for inputs, an infrared sensor, an HDMI-output LED and 4 HDMI input LEDs.
The left side is the HDMI output and the socket for the power cord.

The input LEDs light up red when inactive and green when the input is selected and active.
Ports without a connected HDMI cable does not light.

The establishment of the switch is self-explanatory, the Quick Start Guide is not actually required.
Simply connect any desired source devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles or satellite receiver with an HDMI cable to one of the inputs and set an HDMI cable from the output to the output device (eg TV / projector / AV receiver).

Somewhat irritated I was initially of the remote control.
This is apparently not specific for this switch made and therefore the features in the second rectangle as audio selection / Auto / Arc and the colored buttons are not available below.
Once it has been recognized that there is no problem.

Switching through takes place either through the switch button on the unit or a direct source selection via the buttons 1-4 on the remote (which also existing In5 button is without function).
One input can be permanently preset and selected by the ENTER Sel button.
With PiP even PictureInPicture function for a source preview is possible, which I find very convenient.
The last active input channel is also automatically saved.
Even the arrival and unplugging during operation, the switch takes back without complaint.

So I can recommend this Etekcity switch to 100%.
The build quality is at a high level and the device does the job flawlessly.
Only the price is maybe a few Euros overstated.
