Although I already knew about half the pieces of concert recordings of Sigur Ros and like, I am completely disappointed with this CD. Why is that? This CD has been todproduziert sound technically. Most music suffers from having been chased from the first to the last moment without mercy by the dynamic compressor. This was exactly lost, one of the greatest strengths of Sigur Ros is for me - expression, intimacy and intensity. Instead, wafts a foggy mush of sound from the CD, from cover to cover in one volume, and so strong trimmed with Hall and lo-fi effects on "atmosphere" that the human expression no longer comes across a lot. The compositions it is not actually. If you listen closely, you can rediscover this wonderful contrapuntal melodies of the strings in the background. But they are completely smeared with sonic mush. Through the compressor and use the many effects the album gets a very synthetic, cold sound. So I listen to this CD actually until today only one piece at: Staralfur. Everything else sounds much more alive and closer to concert recordings. If there were, however, an unplugged version of this CD (please producers and sound engineers refer previously out of the country), I would buy me immediately. Those who like Sigur Ros in fantastic sound quality, should be the way necessarily buy the "Heima" DVD and since enjoy DTS soundtrack.
