Phil Collins has delivered with this disc musically acceptable thing since "Wind and Wuthering". (Genesis fans may remember). Finally, he goes back to the drums, to where it belongs in my opinion. But is true that he did not write the arrangements himself, he is but his "band Phil Collins Big" relevant maker of idea. And this idea is simply terrific. Find cool, deep jazz arrangements you get around the ears struck, Genesis and Collins classic completely revamped. In particular, the Collins-stories get so still musical depth ;-). But even classical jazz pieces are missing not so that both Genesis, Collins', and Jazliebhaber are denied. Very noteworthy are the soloists who are listening to. The band has a 1a saxophonist and a trumpeter super. The trumpeter has incidentally also wrote the arrangement of "Los Endo-Suite", next to "Pick up the Pieces" the best piece of the disk (in my opinion). Just when that trumpet attaches to his towering solo in the suite, well, because it verschlägt a plain language: you need to hear. So what remains to be said: Collins condemn the drums chains and Jazz (ahem). We enjoy such bright spots (Testify is probably not one of them) and look forward to more such big band stories from Phil.
