Test with Canon 6D runs

How to test a battery without exposing his Canon 6D not the mechanical load through hundreds of recordings? I have decided, but to activate the GPS function. This consumes power when it is turned on - regardless of whether the camera is in standby or hibernation. I assume that this type of load on the batteries for an average amateur is an appropriate procedure.

Compared with the original battery that came with it camera. Which was produced in 01/2013, has a capacity of 1800 mAh and the rate currently 58.80 (List Price 119,00). The Patona battery provides 1600 mAh and the rate currently 17.90 (less than a third).

The camera is at a fixed place in the house (where there is no GPS signal and therefore is constantly looking for it) placed. The Patona battery was before the test once charged, discharged and recharged.

Canon: after 20 hours in this mode, a state of charge of 78% will be displayed by the camera.
Patona: after 12 hours in this mode, a state of charge of 79% will be displayed by the camera.

During the subsequent test with the Patona battery I have found a strange behavior of the battery status indicator at my 6D. Indicates this display an empty battery to, must not be the case ... camera - battery out - wait for 5 seconds - Battery back inside - Result: Status display and menu control have, for example to 46% capacity. In this procedure, the battery lasts Patona excellent. This is now already worth at least 4 stars to me.

I turn on the consumption one step higher and leave the camera in slide show mode to run endlessly - while GPS is turned on.

It is planned again and then compare for 24 hours, the steadfastness of both batteries.

The manufacturer / supplier is already known to me. I have purchased other batteries and chargers from him that work great and expensive "originals" in no way inferior. As mentioned above, seems to have calculated submitted to a defect in my copy. I do not want to give the impression that the manufacturer / supplier to offer a product that does not generally work with a Canon 6D here.

The return procedure from Amazon, incidentally, did not see before, unceremoniously to ask for a replacement, otherwise I would have definitely done, especially since I ran out of a single defect.
