The Who are an Pänomen the 60s and 70s. First, as a loud, rampaging dismissed Mod representatives, they managed in the long term to establish in the music business. Singer Roger Daltrey appeared by his excessive vocal style to be the dominant element, but the truth was guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend at the top of the "bad boys". Despite a large number of LP releases over the last 3 decades there have been no (official) Best Of compilation. With the (design technically somewhat inconspicuous) Collection "My Generation" can be overcome this deficit finally. It contains almost all the important songs, starting with "I Can not Explain" on "Magic Bus" to "You Better You Bet" from the album "Face Dances". The tracks have been digitally remastered and feature good sound quality. Especially songs like "5:15" or "Baba O'Riley" seem to have lost over the years none of its fascination. CONCLUSION: For beginners and casual listeners definitely recommended. Fans, however, should resort to extensive box "30 Years Of Maximum R & B"!
