Best-of compilations of Eric Clapton are not exactly in short supply, especially in the '90s came a new compilation almost every year out. Only some of them can really convince, such as the excellent "Time Pieces" which only concentrated on his work in the 70erJahren. So it is not surprising that Mr. Slowhand has now brought out a compilation, which deals with his musical outpourings since the mid-80s. Unfortunately strongly imposes itself in this new compilation of impression on, Clapton did once want to do something for a good chart placing, finally comes Weichspül-Softpop a la Blue Eyes Blue in affluent listeners always good. Or should be achieved with this disc even the chart-obsessed teenagers who have languished too "Notting Hill", and this CD was therefore replete with mind-numbing overloaded with electronics pieces, so they do not lose the character of unobtrusive Hintergrundgeplätschers? In short, to call this board "best-of" is an insult to Eric Clapton in light of his work in the 60s and 70s. But who listens reluctantly trimmed in blues rock electric guitars and all the more come rather gentle keyboards and drums from the computer that is here at his own expense.
