Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse Optical Corded (USB, 20 keys, 8200 dpi) black (accessories)

Customer Review

Hab after a few intensive days have unfortunately worsen stress test for the mouse my vote and listed below in the review the justification.

I have long been waiting for a MMO mouse from Logitech. What does Logitech generally and what do we get? A very good robust finish, stylish design and high functionality. In the latter the most important thing is meant the 12 thumb buttons. But the best one by others ...

Processing:

The mouse consists almost entirely of a slightly rough and mat plastic that feels directly very valuable and robust. Because few surfaces are glossy black, it has virtually no problems with unsightly fingerprints. The mouse operates a total quality, as any I had until now in his hands. I have you in white and hope that you will be just as white in a year, which has to be seen, but I'm very confident. The rubberized bottom right side of the mouse also works very well made and should provide the necessary comfort on the little finger. When you press at all possible locations of mouse caused no noise everything is permanently installed together. Wankeln does the mouse not a little because it has large Teflon feet.

Ergonomics:

The mouse is designed for right and best designed for medium to large hands. Fortunately, it is the first mouse to really perfect in my hand fit (I midsize hands), I usually always at the center had a lot of air between my hand and the mice rarely I had to rest my hand just in the shape as the designer it had thought up, but this fills that void perfectly by the "hump" and then strongly sloping rear end of the mouse, and relieved my hand (which is convenient especially during prolonged gaming). At the same time this means that I always have a firm grip on the mouse and immediately the fingers are applied to the correct points. Since I have never experienced something like that at Razer Mamba / Naga / Copperhead and Logitech G9 / G700, this is a very big plus. And just comfort is very pleasant but sometimes at time ausatenden gaming seasons in WoW and Co..

The special keys:

Highlight the mouse are clearly the 12 freely configurable thumb buttons and the third full button next to Right. The 12 keys are divided into two clearly distinguishable from each group from each just 6 buttons. The keys tend in a group to the center within that. The thumb is precisely in this hollow of the front group. A great starting point to directly clear the 6 keys by their addition, each have their own form of being able to distinguish from each other. To reach the next 6 keys of the rear group I have the thumb (to want to raise my hand without) simply withdraw backwards in a 90 degree angle and then land with the tip of the thumb in the middle of the next group. Thus, these rear buttons are still fairly easy to reach and also clearly selected. In the Razer Naga, for example one has to make 12 completely identical keys with only a couple of protruding lines, what has made me ultimately too much distraction from the game the right button directly. This problem has been solved really perfect in this mouse. I did not even need settle and always got the key hit that I wanted to have. I do not want to miss. And ultimately these buttons, the main reason for buying a MMO mouse is yes (who may not need to all good and much cheaper normal mice Buy), in the sense, Logitech has outdone themselves and finally delivered what I've always wanted ,

But that's not all, in addition comes still the 3rd "real" mouse button below the ring finger added which can also be freely assigned. Short and sweet ... I think it's a brilliant idea just the pressure point is not optimal. The key is coming to the press to the left, where it touches the right mouse button and quasi a short detour goes before the desired click is coming. It can be characterized not as fast press in succession like the left and right mouse buttons, but can also be an advantage at the same time, the so clicking it does not so easily accidentally. Perfect the key is to for example in a first person shooter set the melee button on this. Fast I got the knife can not pull out without my "WASD" to take away his fingers and thus may have difficulty in moving. The ideas are there no limits set, I find it great, the pressure point would have had to lie ahead.

+ Mouse wheel DPI buttons + illumination:

The mouse wheel is among the best in which I ever was allowed to roll. The screening is perfect. For an error-free exchange of weapons in FPS games and also in 2D mode a blessing as well can be the left and right click done with the mouse wheel to give back two additional easily accessible buttons for a game. Easy to press with your index finger right or with the middle finger of the left, works without problems and I have so never experienced.

The DPI buttons are behind the wheel, and so can not be reached in the normal way, you also do not have to, better to be exactly aware that you have just chosen the next level as the one noticed by the heat of a firefight at the end of that one Accidentally, the DPI has adjusted.

The lighting can be adapted in all the colors of the remaining equipment and lights very visible by day and night, and it only put a benefit to me, because I always do not have to look at the well differentiated keys and wants.

Driver:

The driver is clearly designed and easy to understand, illustrated and easy to configure. Here is also my biggest problem in this respect. Unlike the Razer drivers here can adjust the sensitivity of the acceleration is missing the opportunity. Especially with different profiles with ihreren DPI stages, it is a MUST HAVE to adjust the acceleration. Since it is well known, so the Windows settings of the mouse should remain at its default (accurate to a point behavior of the pointer) you have less way on the mouse pad which one travels at a faster cursor only by the higher DPI level. In practice, therefore only up to a certain value makes sense. Here the acceleration would come into play to move the pointer to better control at high DPI. So I am left at the moment only the possibility with 1-2 DPI levels (1800/2400) to play in all the games, so I'm going for example obstructed at Diablo as a demon hunter with time-kiting in Inferno something. Clear out here a DPI of about 2400-2800 to more speed but less control. The problem I had so far in still no mouse. Since this is on software side and can be remedied by a new driver, it does not degrade the mouse itself standings.

On the subject of DPI again: With more DPI controlling not accurate or tiny pixels, it only increases the distance the pointer is placed back on the screen at the same time small way on the mouse pad. My advice therefore generally to 1800 dpi, in shooters I present to 2400 high. This is the 8200 DPI unfortunately only pure marketing.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The laser is not well with the white minimal transparent underlay my Razer Megasoma mousemats pointer trembles sometimes minimalist, but even now I do not often noticed negative and unpleasant and sometimes can cause you verklickt itself. Especially in 2D mode or even serious when specifying detailed objectives in CSS / Battlefield 3 and Co. a bad thing. On my other black mouse pad (Razer Goliathus) with Controll-surface material from this never happens. Is a great pity for me as my Megasoma liked a lot and therefore is unfortunately useless. Here, then, take care.

Conclusion:

Perfect MMO mouse that can be operated directly and accurately and can be just as easily used for shooter and strategy games, the perfect all-rounder.

So that was my full review of this new highlight. I hope I could you answer a few questions that you have asked you. I'm in between making a few updates and show how well does the mouse over an extended period. Until then, and a lot of fun with the beautiful instrument.

Greeting

Edit:

Hi, I have the mouse now a couple of days used and unfortunately have to say that I had more worries than pleasure because the driver. The mouse responded in each game differently, so I make the pointer speed in the game had to adjust separately for the first time in games and even so often not emerged a sense of wellbeing. So more spasm instead of joy. She was also in the long run also quite bulky for first-person shooter or Diablo, Games just by the mouse the most important of all. I have the mouse for a reason, and because of a defective laser (pointer jumped just as in between across the screen) sent back. I will take now the next Naga Hex and am curious how this will strike. Ultimately, I do not need as 6 thumb buttons and I then prefer überdimenioniert and easily accessible. For these reasons, I have to mouse unfortunately deduct 2 points, as it unfortunately was unplayable for me and it can not be at a 80 Euro mouse from Logitech. These must be said that just a mouse has a lot to do with habits and preferences. So try yourself better when offered the opportunity.
