- The "PRIME" Noise reduction is now forecasting much faster (with me by a factor of 4-5)
- The general operating speed is again increased significantly
- The handling of the brush and correcting the perspective corrections has been improved
- The algorithms of exposure and automatic contrast control ("smart Lightning") to work more closely and better in restoring the lights
With "Clearview" the Elite version offers an amazing automatism for targeted sharpening flauer image areas, especially in fog and haze in landscape shots. The results are so striking that it enticed to edit older RAW files again. Time-consuming manual labor is otherwise necessary for such results!
The Version 10 offers a full 64-bit and GPU support (ie the graphics card relieves the processor when calculating the corrections)
Unlike its major competitors DxO has only a rudimentary Bildbverwaltungsfunktion what I can get over good. On my wish list for version 10.5, however, then come a range correction, as for example, offers Lightroom.
Who then would prefer to carry out the top dog of Adobe finishing his pictures, or not want to give up its image database, which is the ability to operate as a plug-in DxO and use only the superior lens correction and noise reduction.
In the new version are different and the "Essential" (formerly "Standard") and the "Elite" version more than just by the number of supported cameras. Ua, there is the very useful "Clearview" and the absolutely fantastic "PRIME" -Rauschentfernung only in "large" package.
Both plug-ins "View Point" (for effective perspective correction) and "film pack" (with more than 80 authentic analog film look and some rather rudimentary effects like light and paper structure) are available separately and can be seamlessly integrated into the workflow. The film pack is a nice gimmick. The comprehensive perspective correction is indispensable for me. Annoying is the full range of functions must be purchased separately here.
For me DxO remains the number one when it comes to RAW processing! With these two extensions which, although software is not exactly a bargain, but definitely worth the money.
Who is happy with the version 9, which has to consider whether it is worth the new and improved function to price updates. The number of real innovations is manageable, the improvements "under the hood" but noticeably.
