This book is a compilation of Confucius speeches and discussions between the wise (Kong Zi), his disciples, princes and ministers of his time. The topics are mainly questions about the wisdom and the government of a state. A priori, the chapters are organized in a logical, one might even say that they are random. Nevertheless, it emerges from this book a great spiritual depth. This certainly explains the fact that "The Analects" and have been through the ages by exerting a great influence on the East, all without ever becoming obsolete or outdated.
