Like so many others, I'll look around for alternatives, because so about 3-4 years I come with CS6 easily back and then we will see.
A good alternative for Adobe it, if Photoshop essentials would so pimped that it would be a photographers Photoshop (that there is indeed continue to buy) and the normal Photoshop CC for DigiArt artists, agencies, designers etc. on my account would be used in the subscription (which can deduct the cost or tilt to customers, etc.), because many special features such as 3D, etc. I do not need.
Why not divide such a giant tankers as Photoshop and offer specialized parts for various target groups - ie to make some good out of it speedboats.
But investing permanently so much money at the huge number of ambitious amateurs and the relatively few professionals, CC will be a niche product for professionals. The amateur who does not make money with his paintings, but still has a high standard, is to look for alternatives and let CC fingers and then remain Adobe only the professionals - hopefully there is enough of it to survive.
Maybe there's just that Adobe desired (leading niche software for professionals), but you can quickly run into trouble if you pass produced as a company in the market - as it seems from Adobe to be a test balloon to gradually all the products on this switch model.
