I read Zola Alabama song after Jackson and I see the same mastery to "being a woman". I mean Leroy arrives, not write like a woman, but better than that, to embody Zelda. Other readers even speak of schizophrenia as the record is conclusive. Gilles Leroy succeeded with this novel an ideal biography of Zelda Fitzgerald thereby restoring me the desire to immerse myself again in the novels From Generation Torque lost-which would not naturally, for sure!
