This is the best digital alarm clock that I could find to replace my old mechanical alarm which was making noise "ticking". Simple to use and does not require reading the manual. But it is possible to make even simpler (important for the elderly): for example, a button on top that lifts (like the old mechanical alarm clocks) to activate the alarm. But then, when programming the alarm, you must also activate the alarm with a small button on the side. Therefore likely to forget it.
Above the alarm clock, the button turns the light to see the time at night and also serves to stop the alarm. Small buttons on the side allow setting the time, set the alarm, activate the alarm.
For those who still are ringing too high (already weaker than the small model PQ-30), simply plug the hole in the back with a sticker.
So no real fault. If you need a digital alarm clock is one that you need.
