The best FIFA yet

Although FIFA 11 is very far from being a perfect football simulation to be (what for me the benchmark for 5 star is), so I have to say that no FIFA had previously been as close to reality as regards graphics and physics but - but what about time is, at the technical possibilities that are available to programmers nowadays available!

I also wait for years (or even a decade) to the possibility of being able to control a single player in the quasi over-the-shoulder perspective of what is now possible with Be-A-Pro and the corresponding perspective. Furthermore, the possibility, with several other human players to play online together, which has now found its way into the PC version, though only 5 vs. 5, however, that's enough, as I have noticed, because the more players are, the higher the likelihood of encountering connection problems or to have a Troll in the team that plays deliberately destructive and thus all other robs the fun.

Points, their (correct) implementation I now but wait for ages and never without the FIFA 5 star will get from me, are:
- Not a passive offside: Unfortunately, it is the virtual referees still not possible to identify passive offside. It also comes in FIFA 11 often the case that caught offside, although the player in question is without prejudice to the ball, has intervened actively into the action. Pity!
- "Axis control" the offside not implemented: The football expert knows that a player can only stand on the sidelines in the half of the opponent. If the player that is before the center line and is alluded to, it is not offside, even if no opposing defender is more between the player and the keeper. Unfortunately, this is not implemented in FIFA 11, as I had to learn quite a few times on his own body. In the slow-mo with drawn lines that will appear in FIFA 11 by default for offside situations, it was even clearly visible. I seem to remember that this has in the past but FIFA's work in advance, one probably yes again in FIFA 12th
- Tactical challenge is not recognized: What I'd like for many years, is that the virtual FIFA referee recognizes tactical fouls and punishes with yellow. Unfortunately, this is also in FIFA 11 not yet the case.

Other negative points in FIFA 11:
- While the referee in FIFA 10 and the years before that to refereed "lax" and many hard fouls has let it pass or punished only with yellow, so the Schirri whistles in FIFA 11 at least for me personally too hard. Almost at every opponent with physical contact, there are yellow when even the most harmless, and sometimes there are even totally unjustified red. I would hope that as in FIFA 12 is again turned off.
- The running paths of AI-controlled players are partly ludicrous, even if you send them via button. Moreover, it often happens that my players to block or knock down each other, worse than in the F-youth. ^^ In addition, even the best strikers are too often needlessly offside. I would wish for the future, that players such as their running paths intersect much more common, is done as well in the real world.
- As with all games that can be played online, there are 11 Cheater even with FIFA. And in FIFA 11 it need not even any hacks for these people. Because of a debt by EA bug that is criticized in the EA forums since October 2010 until today (September 2011) has not yet been fixed, a player can through a certain way (which I will not mention here) achieve that the countdown gets stuck in some menus at 0. Now there will be a test of patience, who first breaks the game. - Here then comes the EA-control to bear that with 3 goals difference loses, once you break off the game or loses the connection and which I am critical, since there is the ranking in FIFA. Why not just fix it so that if the player who is in the lead, loses connection, the game will simply not count ??? That would not only solve the cheater problem but would also also a generally fair solution for both contenders: The player is in arrears is glad that he does not lose, and the players in leadership is annoyed not black because he haushoher despite guide the game gets chalked up as a defeat! I pray fervently EA to finally make over time thoughts.

CONCLUSION: FIFA 11 is a step forward and fun, but there are just too many sites, about which one must be angry. Moreover, these sites are rarely or not at all fixed (there was only a single patch for FIFA 11, and the game would need a whole load of them), likely to promise with the ulterior motive of the improvements for FIFA 12, so the number of buyers as again as high fails. I would even say, FIFA is not perfected deliberately, precisely for this reason. But as long as there will be no just 5 Stars for FIFA by me. Just a pity that a generally poor rating of the game also for years the average FIFA player does not prevent the purchase (me not, for lack of real alternatives on the market: x), so EA makes the I have criticized policy apparently everything right , :-(
