What is the best Sriracha sauce, is almost a religious war. In most cases this will be held between "Huy Fong" and "Flying Goose". For me, the winner is clearly "Huy Fong". Unfortunately bekommmt retail in Germany predominantly only "Flying Goose". The differences and similarities: Both are sharp! But not inhuman sharply, but so sharp that they can eat well even normal-sharp-eaters. I feel the "FG" as slightly sharper, but also know people who have a different view. In consistency is "FG" a little smoother, "HF" against something solid, like a liquid ketchup. It is also not quite as "smooth" as "FG" what I feel to be positive also.
But the biggest difference is the taste (off the field). "HF" is delicious, and relatively neutral sharp. "FG" on the other hand tastes - especially in the aftertaste - by vinegar or even something chemically. Some people feel after garlic, and this then but probably is more of an industry-garlic powder flavor. I would describe it more with vinegar taste.
The fact that "Huy Fong" is apart from almost all other hot sauces that this just does not taste like vinegar or the like. Together with its consistent state it makes easy for perfect dipping sauce. Therefore, clear 5 Stars!
