The Birth of Gangsta Rap

"Niggaz Wit Attitudes", even though I, as a white-skinned rather should be the N-bomb not, however, so this rap group called from California nunmal. Their first album "Straight Outta Compton" which was published in 1988, was a huge commercial success.
While it still went to funny and harmless party tracks in the beginnings of rap, NWA was the late 80s then one of the first Rapcrews who dared to speak out what other did not trust.
Since the police violence against the black population in the US and the problems in the ghetto increased more and more, NWA criticized these problems as the first African-American rap group.
In the track: "F * ck the Police, Straight Outta Compton or Gangsta Gangsta is all about life on the street or to the hatred of the police.
Due to the violence-glorifying texts, the defamatory expressions and incitement against the police, the album was considered very controversial and dangerous youth Dent. NWA therefore are considered the inventors of gangster rap.

What would probably have been indicated here in Germany immediately, was only strong kritiesiert in the US but never prohibited.
Now I like but still full artistic freedom in the United States. You have the drive to simply by the Parental Advisory sticker and even the parents were warned.
Not without reason, because the lyrics are really not for children's ears.
Back then it was known even not quite in the US, how to deal with this sudden controversial music. Today, it is already normal, which is cursed and insulted in hip hop songs a lot.

Just as Dr.Dre and Ice Cube, the well known until today and still are successful also Eazy-E was launched after the release of NWA on a solo career. When he dan 1995 of complications from AIDS died, was a great legend of rap music from us. But his music will always be preserved us. Just like his crew, the Niggaz Wit Attitudes.

Straight Outta Compton is a mix of party tracks and socially critical lyrics.
For me it is one of the best old school boards in the field hip hop with absolute cult status.
Even though it was at that time strongly criticized and condemned, for me this music is an art form.
The album Straight Outta Compton is so to speak the Mona Lisa at the artworks.
I bought the remastered 20th Anniversary Edition of the album. Although it no longer has this natural monotonous sound like on the original disc of the 80, but an edited and clean sound of the modern era.
If you do not know, but I guess it falls on not at all, because it was yes in principle pimped only the sound and not the music itself.
In addition, significantly more songs are here with 18 tracks that contain than on the old version.
I am very pleased with this CD definitely.
One of the best songs on the album is the song that always reminds me of a scene determined in the films "Menace 2 Society" of Dopeman Remix (Track11). There, the song is in fact listening in the background.
However, the remaining tracks are also unique and naturally beautiful Old School. One should simply listen to different tastes are served here.

I can issue a strong buy recommendation here definitely. Each die-hard hip-Freak or Dr.Dre and Ice Cube fan like me, NWA is anyway already known. All other still want to become fans, should strike here.
For a fair price you get here a hip-hop classics at its best delivered.
I admit quite clearly earned 5 stars.
