RF starts with a negligible intro, but then pumped one but now with the basses one featured by Young Jeezy, "Got My Locs on". Cube rapt here in the usual quality through a rather atypical for him Beat (could be from a Jeezy Album). Thus begins a marathon of more than average tracks.
"It Takes A Nation", and "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It" should each cube fan already know. Both great tracks, again with typical cube-West Coast sound. Especially the latter more, the first single, presumably Cubes best work has been for years. Finally back real G-Funk, perhaps more political than older songs, but no little worse. Only lyrical defended Cube his music in "Thank God," a little more.
Also the following song "Hood Mentality", "Why Me" (along with "Stand Tall" the quieter tracks, but far from RnB), "Cold Places" and "Jack In The Box" is the real rap fan no reason for skipping around.
G-Funk technically comes with "Do Ya Thang" the second highlight, second single.
I want to abbreviate here. The following seven pearls accomplish a strong album. As I said Europeans get two songs more, complete both the excellent overall picture of the CD.
For a long time a CD, when I never once expressed the Forward button of my system.
What remains to say in conclusion?
1) After the many suitable family films of the "Friday" series that's probably Cubes compensation.
2) No annoying and disturbing Interludes, just 15 + 2 high quality tracks.
3) In contrast to the also good LAX less Feattures (5 of them, including the future new Westside Connection consisting of Cube, WC and Game!) And much less RnB-heavy.
4) Lyric very political.
5) Best West Coast album since toilets "Guilty By Affiliation"
For me, "Raw Footage" the far superior album of 2008, by far. Must-have for every West Coast, Cube and NWA Fan. But other should give this rough material a chance.
I do not say this often, but buy this album!
