The box is simple, well thought out, but maybe not strong enough compared to the weight of 86 CD in it. Here, no fuss! No original covers. Simplicity and clarity are the key words. That does not bother me. I will be clear, I have not heard everything. I am in my tenth CD ... And I do not fault! The recordings are beautiful and the selected artists are not penguins. Of course, some will prefer the interpretation by individual artists and an orchestra conducted by some other conductor. Bah! I have many other drives incorporating works by Beethoven and I vary my pleasures or changing orchestral musicians.
I have no authority for the proposition that all Beethoven is in this integral. I leave that for experienced musicologists.
Orchestras a (very little) less known does not mean work on the cheap. I award 5 stars because for the price, it is difficult to propose better for those who want to form an opinion about the work complete Beethoven. Quality listening hours for a very competitive price.
