What strikes immediately in this unique speaker is the look of the original, one likes or dislikes. The coating is reminiscent of the rubber to the touch and appears in fact quite nice. The cube is placed with the buttons on the top because the speaker is just below on one side. This is not necessarily intuitive because I tend to spontaneously put with the buttons on the side and rotate it down, which has the effect of putting the face of the speaker against the ground and thus to muffle the sound. Also if the speaker is placed so that it plays music with the speaker upwards, the buttons are found in the wrong way. It is rather poorly thought of that side. If an effort was made on the ergonomics of buttons cleaned up. It has a volume button + and -, a touch front and rear as well as a play / pause button. The latter is used to switch on the unit and turn it off (still pressing on it) but also to take a call (with a push), hanging (long press) or reject a call (press too). No worry to answer a call with the microphone that provides most and music that picks up where it left off. The sound decreases to signal an incoming SMS before returning immediately to the volume before. The enclosure is recognized logically by the smartphone under the name Magic Cube. I did not find any differences in the scope of the cube as it begins to cut about ten meters (20 announced). As soon as one gets closer, the music resumes without worry.
His side, the cube is no miracle despite its volume and we guess a simple speaker 3 watts, only the packaging changes. The sound is pretty good and said this does not saturate at full volume. The bass is present, nothing more. It is hard to stay next supports at full volume but it will not provide the sound system provided a large room for example. It is indeed an enclosure which serves to assist another device such as a smartphone or tablet. That said, it can also connect to a PC thanks to its jack cable.
The magic side of the cube appears by its long battery life, the best I've ever met. Announced to 20 hours, it is confirmed carefree as I am not come to end after 20 hours of relatively muscled listening: 7 hours at full volume, 10:30 mid-volume and low-volume 2:30 min. Suffice to say that it should pass the course of a full day (24 hours!) Classic use.
This magic cube is an original alternative to the more conventional speakers. It offers good sound and above all an excellent autonomy. It is a shame however that we can not ask the speaker so that the buttons are on the side and not on top.
