With their second album "No More Heroes" succeeded the Stranglers a very big hit. Beyond the Sex Pistols, Ramones, Clash or Damned it had a very unique sound, which was influenced mainly by the Doors-alike organ. Rhythmically quite connected to the punk, they found their tunes but rather in the Sixties garages where they just when The Doors as well as The Seeds rummaged and of course paddling in the fundus of the Velvet Underground. The result was a new, original sound that has no equal until today. The title track alongside David Bowie took a bead, the yes blared at the same time "Heroes". The response of the Stranglers was: "No more heroes anymore!" The attitude was punk but it is very well thought out and thinking musicians are well known, not the worst.
