I have now to test both.
Right at the date of publication I put the European version to me. This I did but then returned (7 Days Return Policy at a known retailer of video games makes it possible!), Then zuzulegen the US version with Feeloader.
The reasons for this were summarized:
The cutscenes were for me in the European version really only makes little sense. Here one notices the changes significantly. The absence of blood does not bother me personally fountains so bad, even dark clouds of smoke coming over pretty stylish. However, when actually provided which is to be cut off an arm (or both), then you know it but from the behavior of the figure that something is wrong when they are still present.
Yet more than once the feeling creeps in here would have to nevertheless actually missing something or something else happen.
As the plot of the game lives in these sequences, I feel this is more than disturbing.
Unlike in the intermediate struggles with Klongegnern. Here, the lack of blood in my opinion does not noticeable as very disturbing.
However, there is also a less known here apparently difference between versions. While it is possible to select a nice music video on TV in the European version of this is missing in the Amis. Instead, the official game trailer there is selectable (can be regarded as complete opening sequence ...). This then is missing in our version. Personally, I prefer the music video and since it's also apparently some Americans otherwise.
A rumor that there is also to find a few different shirts between versions. This I myself can not tell, but then not know exactly respected it.
The European version of liquid runs I can not confirm, would rather say more clearly especially in the intermediate Fights thanks to the lack of blood fountains ... but that's a matter of taste.
Conclusion:
For 5 star one would need to review the sequences for the European version again. You can tell that these were actually intended for the bloody version.
So I see it from my perspective.
