1.The picture quality is fantastic! I did not even believe in it, after I first tested the Samsung 7200 HU 55 inches, which spent a horrible Tv satellite image. But the Sony X8505 has a brilliant picture! Sharp, colorful and pleasantly clean. Even SD channels you can watch even in HD channels, the picture quality is impressive. No comparison with the Samsung TV because you can see what good installed satellite receiver Sony. Great.

2.Bedienung / Software / speed
When it comes to handling / software of TV stands is (for now) not very good.
The first image comes five seconds after turning on (is OK). Still, it takes about one minute until you can open an app, apparently connects the TV after starting only with the Internet or something ?! (Annoying)
When it is time to exchange passes but then quite quickly.
The TV is my ever stuck, such as the switch to the Apps or the switch, but I hope it is a childhood disease and no longer occur with the new firmware that stability problems!
There have been two new firmware within a short time, so I'll see if improved what.

The Sony X8505 has two Fernbedinungen, a "normal large" and "small" with integrated touchpad. The meaning of the touchpad, I do not understand! This work inaccurate and it's not fun to use these, better would be a normal pad! A shame! But luckily there is the "large" remote, which is much better.
In this point you have the Samsung HU praise 7200, which has a small remote control with which you can show on your TV, similar to a laser pointer, this concept works much better than the touchpad thing of Sony.

The speed of the TV is still acceptable, it always takes a little bit to be implemented by the commands. The Timeshift function is present, however, is when you press the button, the image first stop and it takes 5-10 seconds to do next. Why is it not in operation is possible, I do not understand. This also makes the Samsung better on this point. PVR recordings work very well and you can have a beautiful view to program broadcasts.
If you have started the recording, you can not pause or rewind can only cancel (during recording process), but record the program or complete this however. (Why?) When it comes time shift but also!
Nevertheless, the playback of the recording works well, coils, pause is possible.

As a network server, I have a Qnap 212 Twonkey MediaServer. Movies are streamed without problems, but unfortunately the TV does not display folders, it is frustrating to find a file of hundreds. Incredibly Sinnlos from Sony! How can one find a photo of 5000 without folder? It takes forever to a preview thumbnail is created, also is all messed up.

Conclusion
The image quality is for me the most important point on the TV, for this reason alone there are 5 star for Sony.
He believes completely in this point! The Triluminus technology is impressively brilliant image.
But this reason was decisive for the purchase. Especially after the disappointment of Samsung HU 7200 and H 6470 ...

Many things in the Software / handling could be improved! Just not thought through down to the last detail.
That's a pity, but not the doomsday :)

The problem with the non-existent folders I solved :)
In the Media Player you have on option, then up to the point "Folder View" comes. There you can view the order structures. Unfortunately, the folder many structures have been disabled at the factory. For whatever reason ?!

The TV has now for the second time an extreme problem! The red LED flashes 8x and the TV can no longer be controlled. He and a few seconds after switched off again. It is not possible to switch the remote control responds at all.
Even if pulling the power plug, this error is still there.
The only thing you can do is then just following.

Performing a factory reset
IMPORTANT:
The Supplied Remote Control is Necessary to perform this procedure. Then Be Sure To point the remote control towards the front and center of the television.
Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
Allow the TV to remain without power for one minute.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
NOTE: The TV Should turn on automatically. If it does not, turn it on.
Wait approximately 40 seconds for the TV to start up completely Call.
On the TV remote control, press and hold the UP ARROW button.
While holding the UP ARROW button, press and release the power button on the TV set.
NOTES:
The TV may turn off and then back on.
The button may be on the front, top or side of the TV. If your TV has to Energy Saving Switch, Be Sure To press the POWER button rather than the Energy Saving Switch.
Release the Up arrow button.
NOTE: The initial setup screen displays if the above procedures were Performed correctly.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup.
IMPORTANT: If the reset did not complete successfully, disconnect all devices from the TV and turn off or disable the network connection the repeat thesesteps.

All settings will be erased and the TV to factory settings reset! For 2 star deduction !!!!
