To content: not too long ago, you probably would have warned all managers in this book. How Appelo writes in his introduction, were in the past processes, Command & Control, clear lines of authority, etc. as the only way, the chaos, so to be able to control complex systems ever. Today's organizations - particularly in the IT industry - must, however, make very rapid and extensive changes in their overall context. It is no surprise that many current management methods due to its inertia simply have to fail. Against this background, the management referred to in 3.0 approaches are a concession to the present conditions and how to handle it better. Apello initially always describes in his 6 Views of the Management 3.0 model the theoretical aspect behind it and then looks at practical examples and recommendations.
I liked the book, in the sense helped to understand how to act the individual parts of a complex system with one another and that the overall behavior of the system just can not predict the behavior of individual subsystems. Anyone who thinks a problem through a unique process to get to grips with is only the second best solution. Rather, one must understand how the problem of what causes ever comes about and how you can ensure with small changes on a large scale that dissolve the causes and therefore the problem itself by itself in air. For this purpose, the book gives many helpful approaches and thought processes.
