Now "gunslinger" is rather a rock band more pop ... Who now thinks Johannes Strate hits with his album a similar path which, however, is wrong. "All signs point to storm" is an incredibly personal, intimate and quiet music - the but just incredibly impressed with this quiet and other side. Actually, I'm more of a fan of the more rock tones, but now and then I also like such a gentle, acoustic moments - and Johannes Strate solo Ablum "All signs point to storm" my heart has definitely conquered.
Playing tips for me are definitely the single "It hurts me to see you so," the quiet and oppressive "ghosts", the incredible personal and cheerful "Good morning Anna" and the absolutely excellent "We were much too quiet and the world was too loud ", which not only has a catchy melody but also is a beautiful duet with a female voice in the chorus. Listen !!
Johannes Strate convinces not only with his voice but also with great lyrics. Have particularly impressed me here, for example, a passage from "It hurts me to see you so":
"Where has remained what makes you
Where did the big girl
You were the one that always stood out
Now you're just in the Middle "
... Or just this line from "Good morning Anna": "And if we know 10 years I still want something special for you to be". Simple but poignant.
Moreover, I would note that this album guarantees which for all ages is - because I was quite surprised when my father (this reduces to 70) in the car the other day to me (30) said, "The music I like ...". I think that was the first time that he has something to say "my music";) ... or I'm getting old? * G *
CONCLUSION: An album that does not need any loud sounds, to convince. It is gentle, authentic, personal and beautiful. Not for people who something like the gunslinger songs expected - because it's different. It touches and it has earned a place in the heart - that's why: A clear buy recommendation! (And I still am again the rockier side of Johannes Strate in gunslinger experience).
