I do think that Jacques Brel is still present among us, especially those who have heard of his course alive.
So who wants to find it or would rather know this album 2 CD is a great choice.
In fact it includes both nearly all his greatest hits but also songs from his debut (the devil "okay") and also the 5 songs remained unpublished until 2008 and not found in any box or other album. We find the text of these 5 songs in the booklet.
Yes Jacques Brel was really a fabulous performer in its intensity and commitment and an outstanding composer. He has written texts such as no one had written before him and after him no more.
With a sense of wonder the use of words, formulations that no one but him would have been able to find or would dare hold. And often much right emotion, as in "Orly" for example, I never listen without shuddering.
But damn, great Jacques, what had you need to smoke as much from which to not even 50 years?
