With the 2nd single from her hit album "X & Y" Coldplay make everything right: you pair the best piece of the album. Although "X & Y" is more of a middle splendid work for Coldplay ratios, as is "Fix You" the piece that stands out in terms of quality most clearly. "Fix You" is the finest guitar pop packed into a great ballad. Yes, the elements are cheesy, and the text is not probably belongs to Chris Martins bests ... but my God ... it works just fine. "Fix You" starts quiet and fragile, unfolds after the 2nd chorus but completely. The guitars break going, it is mood builds up and you realize: this song is made for the stages that Coldplay now sell out. A Song of grand gestures, especially when the whole band closed at the end of pain and loss sings. There it is again: the old Coldplay-feeling. A song that touches you deeply and yet encouraged to sing along. "Fix You" is therefore a real piece of cake to melt away. On the Maxi's for the fans with "Poor me" (in a live version) and "Your World turned upside down" two songs that the band has desire has often plays live and finally presented on plate. So a good package.
