Curse - it's one of the most influential, the most idiosyncratic and best rappers in Germany. Hardly anyone has the German Hip Hop awarded so many fresh impetus as the Minden. Especially with his third album "Internal Security" (For me his best), by so many "real" instruments, such as in hardly any other German rap album found use and the timeless classics such as "What is now" and "resistance" contains, put Curse new standards. "Deluge" is also an imposing work which can shine with songs like "Gangsta Rap" or "Left, Right", but not the atmospheric density of the album "Homeland Security" has, since with portentous messages, cool beats and a variety completely different songs will harmonize quite overloaded work on album length. One has the feeling, Curse and took his music to something important and wanted to once again prove itself by hook or crook.

This approach marked by pressure to succeed has apparently replaced by a more serene and relaxed attitude in his works about "freedom" Curse. Although he tackles a usual big issue with his first single, the lyrics do not overwhelm the listener, but beat pleasantly restrained tones to. The same applies to the almost perfect beat, which, although consistent, but not too soft fall and in its warmth and harmony almost Kanye West already productions on Commons album "Be" is similar, the Curse yes notoriously underestimated. Who expected Curse would with the cover of Westlife songs "Freedom", whose refrain is slightly modified on the Curse track finds, only on cheap attention from mistaken. That Western Hagens Contribute naturally attracts the single a certain media presence with him, of course, is indisputable and certainly so intended by Curse. Nevertheless, one can not deny that the stadium used by Curse version of the refrain is the perfect complement to the multilayered lyrics and in no way acts like a shapeless debris. "Freedom" is a lyrical and musical genius, a song that deserves the title "anthem" without compromise. Now it will be interesting to the accompanying album, although too high expectations could tarnish the listening experience. Nevertheless, you have to be a prophet to suspect that a very big hit in imminent weakening Deutschrap genre unless Curse has applied its new approach on the entire album.
