After 2 years of use of its predecessor, I thought to myself, the transition to the successor HS 8460 could not hurt. Much the color of the base will have not changed, a little contemporary, the Conditionierer of Nivea in a new look.
In fact, basically the shaver and the shaving head slightly changed. He is by the open chambers of the shearing blades is still a pure dry shaving unsuitable (but he is also not built). The buttons for power on / off are now integrated seamless in the housing, the sound of the dosing pump during shaving is now hardly noticeable (very pleasant) and the LED indicators on the shaver and the station are now white. The charging and filling is also unchanged -except the color-. Simply designed, easy to clean, served its purpose perfectly harmless.
The most important thing, and what I was most curious: what has changed on the quality of the shave? Yes!
In addition to the pleasant (because something quieter) operating noise shaving has actually become even more gently. Since the shaving head is virtually unchanged, I am assuming that Nivea has here done its homework and improves Conditionierer significantly. In addition to a much more pleasant fragrance also the consistency has changed, less "slippery" and also more economical to use. In fact, the shaving head slides easier and more pleasant on the skin. As before, you have some places repeatedly shave (compared to the blade), irritation of the skin, but I can find no more.
Who thinks to use the razor with shaving cream cheaper, brings I think a really good Rasiervergnügen and earnings. For me there is no question: the system is running with the new Conditionierer (silver donor) on top form.
At the previous model was recommended to replace the cartridge with each bottle Conditionierer. This recommendation is now: exchange every 12 months with the shaving head. This is for me not understandable, but really do not care. The offered 3'er Vorteilspack Conditionierer (at best), and the Replacement head a new cartridge is always included. I consider this from a hygienic and ecological point of view makes sense.
The follow-up costs can I find appropriate and manageable. I shave usually every 2 days (sometimes daily) and come with a cartridge for a period of 4-6 weeks.
Conclusion: who goes into this new system, get a solid, very gentle and thorough razor, will hold all of what marketing promises: a gentle and soothing shave. Who does an "upgrade" from its predecessor, will not be disappointed.
