Carla Bruni has long been upset our California dethroning the Beach Boys and Sheryl Crow. 'Somebody told me' through some notes gleaned broadcast on the Internet as the beautiful canvas had added a new string to its range of talents!
Freshness writing and melody, intimate voice, simple musical arrangements. By appropriating success and innovation, 'Somebody told me' we do that better fall into the net of charmeuse. At the first hearing melodies Carla Bruni, you apprehend that confused their wealth, their multiple facets, their subtle differences. With delicacy, with each new listening subtly turns the kaleidoscope: another dimension emerges from the gravelly voice, a new instrument is needed to your ear, the melody develops new spells (!). What appeared to be a concise work flew to ignore revivals.
And you say the texts? Romantic Classicism sprinkled with love effrontery for 'Somebody told me', 'Raphael' and 'Love'. Delectable inventory of people, those Mr. and Mrs. 'Everyone' that cross by suffering and laughing. Succulents autobiographical notes (?) Of a young woman for whom life is synonymous with speed, pulse, and pleasures for 'The thee of me', 'Excessive' and the beat (but how sorcerer) 'I know' . The release of 'The drowned' and 'The sky of a room'. 'Chanson triste' vogue of depression and shows its most serious accents. What you have left it? Brimstone, the unclassifiable, the interrogative 'The most beautiful neighborhood'! A piece of anthology of ubiquity! And everything ends with 60 seconds of life at any top speed for 'last minute'. What final for fireworks!
Anyway, the voice of Carla Bruni will long continue to rock this summer that California never ends really. And for you?
