The card tray is really excellent. The cards can be used easily and take it out. They also remain in place if they are to it. The water tightness I checked, I submerged by the reservoir a few days have stored in a bucket of water. All my Peli Hardcases remained absolutely tight. That I know of supposedly watertight containers from other manufacturers unfortunately different!
