1954 the Tolkien editor, splits his manuscript in three volumes, for economic reasons, Tolkien, bad thanks agreed. Since it improperly speaks of the trilogy Lord of the Rings, as well, over the reissues, many shells, misprints (especially Elvish languages) appeared. For fifty years after the first publication of this masterpiece, we find the Lord as it should have been, one volume, printed on India paper, bound in leather, with a sober decoration of the hand of Tolkien. All errors are corrected, the card is finally printed in black and red as planned, and the book of Marzabûl finally finds its place in this book, which I consider one of the best of the century, with the Master and Margarita Bulgakov, and Joyce's Ulysses. The purchase is of course essential.
