The first time you hear this record, I knew: Daron alone should have led "System Of A Down" to success. "Elect the Dead" leaves me with great disappointment, although I usually appreciate very much Serj Tankian and always very interesting and quite musically found. But "Elect The Dead" fails almost from start to finish. The only truly good song "The unthinking majority" and "Honking Antelope" fallen indeed much, but most of the time one actually asks only: "Why?" "Why now?" "Oh man the song could have been great, but now ..." "What he was thinking again?"
The "competitor" Daron and his band "Scars on Broadway" shows just how to do it right! The songs on this album are indeed not creations, but to make a lot of fun!
To "Elect The Dead" is really only to say: Buy some prefer all "SOAD" albums for a second time or help yourself in "Scars on Broadway" because "Elect the Dead" a really bad light Ansonnsten on so nice be heard Serj Tankian throws.
