From this machine I have promised me that they significantly faster produces ice cubes in the first place, since one can otherwise remain the same when the freezer.

And in fact, in my case it took in average 7 minutes until I had "large" finished 9 ice cubes in the format. ie 77 ice per hour. This is quite a decent value in any case. However, this speed comes at a price. I am not a scientist and who want to see exactly how the ice cubes are made simply looks the video, but the basic principle it works like this:
A small tank at the top of the machine is running full of water, which you have previously filled in the big 3L tank bottom. Then 9 rods are immersed in the water. These bars are so strongly cooled down, the ice freezes very quickly on them. This is how over time increasingly ice. After a certain time (or I do not know what it depends on when the process has been completed), the remaining water is pumped out (it runs back down into the tank) and the resulting ice just fall from the bars now and then a Drehmachanismus in the storage compartment.

The fact that the ice cubes are formed on this Mini-cooling rods hollow inside. This has the great disadvantage that they have a much larger surface area and are not as compact as ordinary ice. This means that they are much, much faster than normal melt large ice cubes. For long drinks and cocktails they are limited by applicable because they dilute the drink significantly faster than do standard ice cubes. But precisely for example in the summer if you have only hot drinks, it takes forever until they are cooled down in the refrigerator at a comfortable temperature. This machine has so quite a few ice cubes to cool his drink after not even 10 minutes - that's really convenient.
