Granted, I hear this record not just since yesterday. However, if I ask what Manson album is my favorite person, I would "Portrait of an American Family" say immediately. Okay, there is no sound technical feat, but that does not detract from the rest. With many funds manage MM and his colleagues to create an unparalleled, gloomy atmosphere that draws the listener immediately into its spell. In the first place would have to look at each other the music. This is the framework round about solid industrial metal. But every little thing that has been added to samples that give each song its own charm. Especially clearly this is eg at "Organ Grinder". And there are probably many more people who, like me, are of the opinion also that "Dope Hat" simply sounds only after a hellish circus / fairground. And who, having heard this record does not know, the child of "My Monkey", intones the Charles Manson extracts as children's song. But since I want to bore anyone and just about everything was already written before, I am about to conclude and recommend this board all the people who are on a gloomy atmosphere. However, music purists I must advise unfortunately, because the results from the mixing quality to be desired but sometimes very leaves left. To all others: Listen at least pure, you can decide for yourself :-).
