Customer Review

He is the master of melancholy. Texts that are sad and wonderful at the same time, a little wrong-headed and yet so simple. Niels Frevert plays with the words, proverbs and phrases dismantled and creates thereby his typical lyrics from real life.
There is the lonely widower who is feeding the squirrels in the park. The person who follows her great love unconditionally and always to her. The couple, who is stuck in everyday life. People who deny their problems. The person who mourns her great love for her death. The singer, who has been booked incorrectly and now stands in a strange city, and longs only for love. The couple, who love each other and fight. And the people who have nothing more to say.
Yes, "list on the ground" is not quite as good as "You can let me out at the corner." But she's not even much worse. Musically a few not quite as strong songs are. But with "I would help you to bury a corpse, if it does not mean is" and especially the todtraurige and wonderful "flashing on the horizon", but also "Zurich", "Küchensee" or the Herman van Veen Cover "Up someone hears me "really strong numbers. Niels Frevert thus retains its status as one of the best songwriters in the country.
