So far, Kill To Get Crimson was for me the best solo album (with a very slender margin, however), but Tracker has become the perfect album for me. Some getting used to is only "Broken Bones", because it sounds very Knopfler untypical, but everything else, including the bonus tracks of the Deluxe version is simply fantastic. It's not only the quality of the songs, but also the matching in their sequence. Only when you can go through the CD, you realize that there is a factory runs from a single source, partially matched in the keys. I do not have a favorite song, at least it's every few days become another since the release of the album in the weeks.
Therefore, as always at MKS discs: laptop or tablet to put away, let down shutters, hide noise, close your eyes and enjoy. The quiet songs are by the way excellently for handsfree listening. The recordings are audiophile, excellently blended and let the walls tremble. The addition of Ruth Moody was a heavenly idea, she sings next to duet on five other songs in the background. The saxophone is reminiscent of Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band, especially in my current favorite "River Towns".
Conclusion: I would not know how to make a better album. For me the best MK solo album.
