The name stands for quality

I've used in the past a number of different filters Hoya and was always satisfied. Also this UV filter which I use mainly for protection of the lens and therefore constantly remains on the lens, met my expectations: no measurable elongation factor, a better color contrast in bright sunshine, good scratch resistance, no reflections, no distortion and no Vignette, clean threads front and rear will not eat the a meaningful ribbing, so you also get a stuck filter solved with schwitzeden hands again, no rattling of the glass and a legible marking. More is not possible.
