By chance, I came up with the brand sailfish plus e. K., a me hitherto unknown brand. A quick visit to the company's website made me curious about the XTREM + Active Cube Generation II. Helpful for this were also the two product videos on the site. There there is also a nice size comparison of the three models: S, M and L, which prompted me to choose the size M.
After delivery and the opening of the package is a fast clear what the designation XTREM in the product name stands for XTREM namely SUPER !.
First falls on a high-quality finish and the high quality materials that are used are used in this backpack. The processing of the seams is, in my opinion, perfect. I have neither external, current still inside seams with long threads found, which then get tangled like once in the zippers. (In packs of popular brands, unfortunately, not always taken for granted, especially not in this price range) are all perfectly sewn. The zippers are smooth, not hakeln and make a long lasting impression.
The taping of the well-padded shoulder straps, and the chest and waist straps from falling quite lush and also allows large or obese individuals to adjust the backpack perfect for your needs. Since the backpack can also make a Slingbag (very handy for left and right), you have at the back, a compartment where you can store the excess strap. I have been there, I'm not a fan of slingbags, my 10-tablet PC incl. Protective bag housed, which is well protected by the thick padding.
The possibilities to transport camera tripods backpacking are solved ingeniously. They are mounted on two packing strips in the center and thus the center of gravity of the backpack. So they can not slip down, there are, depending on the size of your tripod, a small mesh pocket and an additional holding bag, which is fixed to the backpack and is located in a hidden compartment in the backpack floor. Here I have to stow the included rain cover.
The spacious interior in the lower part of the backpack can be adjusted very well with the variable dividers on their own photographic equipment. Here with me, see my bridge camera, a compact camera, two flashes, charger and batteries, as well as rain cover for the camera, and various filters comfortably. The upper part of the backpack can still loosely accommodate a raincoat and other small items. Space is abundant. Very practical one has times his camera equipment is not there - the variable partitions, and the partition wall between the upper and lower compartment. This can be removed easily and thus receives a normal backpack with big pack assets.
The variable interior compartments can be easily and accurately fix to the desired locations via Velcro strips, so that the camera and the battered equipment are well protected. Should a sudden unintended backpack slip off the shoulder, the camera and everything else is taken, protected on the ground well before the fall.
Conclusion:
It has the XTREM + Active Cube Generation II the impression that the designer of this pack miracle photographed themselves very often. Everything about this backpack is completely thought through and therefore extremely suitable for use. Here I can say in good conscience an absolute buy recommendation.
