Like the previous reviewers, I am personally quite disappointed with the narrative method employed. The action of the siege of Toulon is interrupted by numerous flashbacks that bring nothing to the narrative. I usually eat albums in one go (including integrals). For this one, I stopped half as the incessant flashbacks break the rhythm of the narrative. It's a shame! I'll probably end up reading this book, but I do not know if I'll take the risk of buying later.
