The new album to its former glory

Journey has once again a new singer.
I'm really surprised, Arnel Pineda sounds really fucking like Steve Perry, the original singer. This may be just negative, it is here but not because he did not simply replaced but you can hear his heart and passion. The story is funny: The Journey bandleader has after the last singer for health reasons could not continue viewed hundreds of singers in Youtube and Arnel invited to sing. He has previously sung in a Journey cover band and the band immediately convinced (and me too).
a) Revelation, the new album has great compositions, a great musical realization again and really conveys emotions. The lyrics are creative and beautiful and vocally the album is top. The only thing you can possibly criticize is that one is purely on the classical instrumentation with electric guitars, bass, drums and some keyboards. Had something used more modern sounds, you might have more reach the younger audience. For me, this is but what they deliver here top. b) The 2nd CD of the album is a kind of Best of Journey from the 80s, however, recorded and sung by Ariel Pineda new. I thought this can really only go wrong, but far from it. Ariel here brings a similarly authentic, not only reproduces but lives the songs themselves. Compared with Steve he sings with clearer pronunciation, emotionally at the same level. I am pleasantly surprised. The new recordings are sonically thanks to modern studio technology at a higher level than the originals, come easily powerful, transparent.

Pity on the edge - irrespective of this album that Steve Perry is no longer present in the music business, his desire and dedication has created songs (also songwriting), but they were once unfortunately he can for vocal cord problems probably no longer go on.

Conclusion: Super, finally Journey has an adequate singer found and brings songs that you do not want to miss again. Generations, the last album was the most worst Journey album which ranked here in the Top4 - you can not compare the old songs with the new, they are thematically and emotionally different but not better or worse but of modern.
