This compilation portrays the hit-ELO, and actually gives this compilation a completely different feeling than when you listen through the regular albums.
damn, I find both ELOs fantastic and indispensable. Jeff Lynne always had a great knack for catchy melodies, but he is always a bit more clever and sophisticated refined than its competitors. I call ELO always the ABBA of prog rock. in truth this is progpop, with classic elements and a lot of knowledge about the harmony pimped rock 'n' roll, supported by the admiration for the great artists and Fifties for the Beatles.
I find this compilation useful even if you have the regular ELO albums and loves. so you can see from time to time by the other ELO, the hit band that can blow dry bulb.
great thing.
