My opinion: I love this book The series "The Infernal Devices" yes turns as "The Mortal Instruments" to the Shadowhunters, only that "The Infernal Devices" is located earlier in time and plays in Victorian England. Thus, you get in this series a lot of background information, learning the ancestors of the hero from "The Mortal Instruments" know and also learns something about already known characters. I like that very much because we already can imagine being an insider reading :)
"Clockwork Prince" I like even better than the first part, "Clockwork Angel". The focus is clearly the love story between Tessa, Will and Jem. And this is something very positive in my opinion, because of this Love-Triangle is really well written. Both guys are totally sympathetic and endearing. While my heart beats for Will, but who might not like Jem? Throughout the book of this love triangle is always dramatic and the end is really heartbreaking. I mitgelitten properly.
However, the plot revolves not only around the love story. Our heroes have to help the Charlotte Institute retain and find out where the Master is staying and who else working with him. They experience some nasty surprises. You lose friends by treachery, but get undreamed of side support. It will definitely not be bored in London shadow hunters. For Will there in this book even a great revelation. He finally finds the whole truth about the curse that was upon him. His story was also very carried away.
This book series lives of its great characters! Since we have as our female protagonist: Tessa. Although I also like Clary of "The Mortal Instruments" very happy, but Tessa is my No. 1. She's really hit rock bottom. Her life was a lie, she has no family was betrayed by your own brother and lives in a strange city, at a time in which one does not have much to say as a woman. And yet she is a strong woman and can not get her down. Also, I like about her is that she is so imperfect ... it is not the selfless heroine who meets only sensible decisions, but can also be impulsive and selfish. This makes them very human and sympathetic.
But the guys are great! Jem is such a lovable, cute boy and Will is the likeable Badboy, but has a soft heart and had been taking as much to himself for his young age. I also find described their Parabatai relationship so beautiful.
And the icing is of course Magnus! I think it's great that he shows up quite often in this book and we learn the more about his past. His weakness for Will is so sweet and a lot of things he does bring the reader in terms of "The Mortal Instruments" smile.
"Clockwork Prince 'is exciting, funny and sad at the same. Who would like to read a really good love triangle, it's no wonder. Especially the fans of "The Mortal Instruments" I put this book series very warmly.
