Content:
, Named Theresa Gray of all Tessa, comes after a two-week voyage from New York to Southampton and is contrary to their expectations are not met by her brother, but from the Dark Sisters - allegedly at the behest of their Brudes Nathaniel (Nate). As these passed her a letter from her brother, which is that he trusts the sister and let her go quietly into their care. But shortly after Tessa discovers that the two have their own plans with her and them captive and forcing them their abilities - of which Tessa has suspected nothing at all - to use and to train. Because the nurse will prepare you for something very specific or intended for someone - namely the Magister.

But before Tessa may fall into the hands of Master, she tries - also with the knowledge that while trying to escape her brother may turn killed - to flee, but is already recaptured shortly afterwards by the sisters. Thanks to their skills to Tessa, however, can liberate from the shackles and considering their scale, as they can flee when shortly afterwards a strange young man her room and takes her unceremoniously.

This strange young man takes her from London's Institute, where the local Shadowhunter you have at home and Tessa their take, because they suspect that this may be helpful to them. Because the young man who saved them, is also a Shadowhunter and called William Herondale (Will). Will has experienced in his research in the Shadow World of the Dark Sisters and a so-called master. Who should, however, be said of this Master, is unclear. In addition to Will as is still the whole institute, consisting of Charlotte and Henry, who run the Institute, Jessamine (Jessie), a young Shadowhunter, James (Jem), which is Will's Parabatai and even guards the one or the other secret and the servants, consisting of Sophie, Agatha and Thomas, behind Tessa and her search for her brother.

Looking over information about the disappearance Nate`s Shadowhunter of Mortmain, the previous employer of Nate, be informed that he has connections to the Pandemonium Club and the local master - de Quincy - knows and has presented this Nate. Nate now work well for this. Immediately the Shadowhunter are naturally behind de Quincy forth, with them, however, a problem precludes - he's the boss of London's vampire clan and is under the protection of the law as Down Worlder. However, the Institute will be played into the hands of information, stating that the said vampire boss has infringed the applicable law and thus the Shadowhunter have every right to take action against this. With such a special insert in de Quincy's house the Shadowhunter stumble not only on certain specific plans ClockworkMonster ", but also about Tessa's brother Nate.

From Nate she received confirmation that de Quincy is the Master and intends the Shadowhunter means of robots to destroy. As soon as they have confirmation that de Quincy is the mastermind, pull even against this in the fight. No sooner have the Charlotte and Henry leave with the Council and some other Shadowhunter the Institute, also stands already again another informant at the door and tells them that the Dark Sisters have at another place before, to help de Quincy by their magic, by providing the robot with demonic energy and thus make indestructible. Jem and Will, who had been left behind to protect the institution, since they are not yet of legal age, follow the information and leave the Institute unprotected back, the short time want to later run over already from said robots and the master, as these only one goal have - Tessa. Jem and Will be see through the trick? Will the other Shadowhunter be back in time to rescue the institution? Is de Quincy really the master? Who or what is Tessa? What secret is hidden Jem? Why Will encounters constantly everyone and everything on its own?

Opinion:
Since the Infernal Devices series is a parallel series to the Mortal Instruments series, one must not be too much surprised as readers, if there is one or the other parallel because Shadowhunter are and will remain after all - no matter when - ever Shadowhunter.

At the beginning of each chapter excerpts can be found from poems of the then contemporary literature (apart from the poem at first) that I simply set equal to one at my Google list. =) This little poem excerpts fit in my opinion to the story of Tessa & Co. and the temporal structure - especially literature (Dickens, Twain, Austen, Bronte, etc.) is particularly emphasized by the author. ;)

The story takes place in 1878, the scene is a fictional London * and protagonist of the story is - as you might expect - Tessa. Unlike in the past lived, the author begins with a prologue that - that should be noted again at this point - not anticipating the future course of action.

The characters are all well presented and lovingly, one could somehow hugging each. Tessa is - for pleasure every bookworm - even a bookworm, accordingly literate is Will. The two talk a lot about literature, especially about the time contemporary literature. But pretty much everyone - who live in the Institute under one roof - have one thing in common: they are orphans. Tessa's and Nate's parents died in a carriage accident as Tessa three and six years of age were Nate, Jem's parents were murdered and Jessie's parents are killed in a fire killed. As for Will's parents, so it is but in a bad way and Will is determined so this also allow. Each of the characters has to deal with his own problems, even if at one or the other one or the other secret part comes to light, so not everything is revealed by the author, what a genuine bissel annoyed because you absolutely know wants what from whom why behind it. When Jem one learns a part and when Tessa and Nate also, but not everything - so how can we previously assumed. So However, Will's past remains pretty much in the dark and you only get a vague idea, but no direct evidence.

In addition to already known to us from the Mortal Instruments series surnames such as Lightwood or Wayland, a character occurs, we know already - Magnus Bane. At this point of course I will not tell you how and why he shows up, but maybe you also surprised a little bit of the context in which it appears on the scene this time. ^^

However, I found that at one point or another but one or the other (no, I remain brave and try to reveal nothing!) But was relatively easy to see through, and many were in turn swept pretty good by the author under the carpet. I find that "The Infernal Devices Book 1: Clockwork Angel" by Cassandra Clare has only just addictive and I am now quite keen on the second part, which is expected to appear September 2011 under the title "Clockwork Prince".

Finally, I would like to positively point out that the author has not stuck out here that the Shadowhunter have to fight only against demons, but ultimately against all evil, what the world might harm because I feel it succeeded as clearly if here Variant of technology and magic - which is not mandatory beherrst only of Down Worlder - is chosen. It is definitely varied and exciting. ^^

So, then now remains only one thing to say: READ !!!
