After buying a new PC, I wanted to use the speed advantage of USB 3. And I found out that only two of the eight USB ports comply with the new standard. In addition, USB will obviously always supplied 3 devices such as hard drives and card reader with 20cm cable. The port on the PC corresponds to the USB A further standard, but the connection to the device is a new Micro B connector for USB 3.0. Corresponding cables with lengths from one meter are there, but are individually relatively expensive.
This hub fixes for a problem of short cables and adds to other ports on a tolerable number. Thus, the stroke is less than the Monitor and besides external hard drive and card reader two ports free for other devices.
